DAY 3 – 6 – READ BELOW BEFORE STARTING

Pick a format to present your recipe. Either make a video, or Google Slides show. Once you have picked your path, you should be ready to film your recipe using VIDEO or IMAGES. Using these pictures and videos, make either an instructional video or google slides presentation of the pictures and videos you took. Whatever is easier and comfortable.

OPTION/ PATH 01: IMAGES

Here you will use pictures to showcase your recipes. These pictures must be Detailed imagery of you making the recipe. You might have someone else do the recipe and you can film. You will require a device. So securing a device is important.

Set out time to get this done. Make sure that those ingredients are ready to go! Make sure to take detailed images with each ingredient that you put into your recipe.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  1. Make sure your images are in Landscape and not portrait.
  2. Make sure your images are clear and free from blur and distractions.

Here are some youtube videos to help you with this process.

OPTION/ PATH 02: VIDEO

  1. So you chose a video format? Okay, did you keep in mind that you need access to a video editor?
    1. Make sure your video editor works and that the camera phone or device you are using to create this is fully charged.
    2. You might have someone else do the recipe and you can film.
  1. Set out time to get this done. Make sure that those ingredients are ready to go!
  1. Look at an example video here.
    1. Notice it’s just a backing track and words typed up. No speaking.
    2. Here is another video and it’s 30 secs.
  1. Make sure your video isn’t long. Under a minute please.

MAKE SURE YOU FILM IN LANDSCAPE AND NOT PORTRAIT !!! You are only filming here, step 3 is where you will be creating your slide show.

  1. Don’t get too fancy. Just edit the video first, nice and quick. Make it as short as possible. It’s not how long the video is but how you convey your message. You could essentially do a video edit that is 10 seconds long and gets to the point.
  1. Be sure to have a backing track to this. Try to get that backing track as a copyright free from a place such as bensound.com etc.
